Announcing Tidepool+, the next evolution of the Tidepool Data Platform

Moving forward with a deliberate, focused effort to better understand and support our Clinician community has resulted in hundreds of unique conversations for Tidepool to process. More important than talking with the medical professionals who play a critical role in diabetes care, we have a responsibility to listen to what they have to say and leverage their feedback to improve our software. As a direct result of partnership with our Clinician community we are excited to announce the launch of Tidepool+.

Tidepool’s Population Health Dashboard is the centerpiece to an evolution of the Tidepool Data Platform, called Tidepool+. With Tidepool+, we are introducing a premium offering that includes enhanced security controls like Single Sign-On, tools for direct patient engagement, and our Population Health Dashboard to empower Clinicians to sort, filter, and segment their patient lists based on a number of key factors. Tidepool’s Population Health Dashboard surfaces critical and actionable data points like last upload date, GMI, and Time in Range summary statistics in an intuitive and customizable dashboard, setting the stage for more proactive care and prioritized engagement. With this dashboard, Clinicians can also add custom tags to their patients to better filter and segment their patient list beyond the summary statistics they see.

Since we began sharing this tool with our Clinicians, we’ve heard an increasing number of use cases and scenarios in which Tidepool’s Population Health Dashboard can make an impact. Whether it’s keeping a closer eye on patients who are newly diagnosed, patients starting an insulin pump for the first time, or monitoring patients who have struggled with excessive highs or lows over the past 30 days, there’s so much opportunity with the use of Tidepool’s Population Health Dashboard.

With this exciting evolution to the Tidepool ecosystem, we remain focused on leaving no clinic behind, so they can focus on leaving no patient behind. This premium functionality does not impact any features of the no-cost solutions we have offered for nearly ten years as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
