Tidepool Loop is a fully interoperable insulin dosing system that works to increase, decrease, or suspend insulin based on glucose readings and predicted glucose values - all with the goal of keeping your glucose levels within a customizable correction range. Apple Watch control: discretion on your wrist! Want to see how much insulin you have on board, along with your blood sugar level (and feel like Inspector Gadget while you’re at it)? Tidepool Loop is the first cleared system capable of delivering insulin from an Apple Watch.

Insulin delivery by food type: a simplified meal entry experience that replaces extended bolus math with food type emojis.

Did you know that pizza can impact your blood sugar differently than a taco? Instead of calculating what percentage of insulin to deliver later to account for fat or protein, with Tidepool Loop, you will be able to tap on an emoji to represent the type of food being eaten and how long it will impact your glucose levels. Tidepool Loop will also allow you to record meals in the past or near future. Tidepool Loop is the first cleared system to simplify meal entries with food type emojis and carb absorption time.

Pre-meal Preset: Not sure how long the food takes at this restaurant? Not sure if your kid will actually eat the food and hesitant to give a full pre-bolus? If you’d like Tidepool Loop to temporarily work a little harder before you begin eating to help reduce a post-meal spike, just hit the pre-meal button. With Tidepool Loop you’ll be able to tap the pre-meal button to get insulin on board to help prevent a spike without having to fully commit to a carb count. Tidepool Loop is the first cleared system to offer a feature that will adjust your basal insulin and lower your Correction Range before you eat.

Glucose Prediction: Tidepool Loop shows users where their glucose has been, where it could be going, and where they want it to be - all on the home screen. Tidepool Loop is the first cleared system to present a user experience that provides single screen glanceability to support direct, efficient decisions and actions.

Adjustable carb entries: Your kid didn’t finish their food? You changed your mind and ordered something else off the menu? Did you decide to eat another serving? Life happens.

Tidepool Loop will make adjustments based on what really happened, not just what you thought would happen at a given moment in time. Tidepool Loop is the first cleared system to allow you to edit previously entered carbs.

Customizable targets: Tidepool Loop allows for more flexibility to meet your individual diabetes management goals with the largest range of customizable settings for Correction Range, Glucose Safety Limit, and other glucose—and insulin—related settings. Tidepool Loop is the first cleared system with a configurable correction range as low as 87 mg/dL and as high as 180 mg/dL.
