About

The DC Berne team has two primary objectives:

  • We are currently modelling insulin sensitivity within the Period Project, with data from menstruating women. The modelling also includes some Bayesian approach/preliminary assumptions, which would be great if they could be estimated with more  data. In addition, it would be interesting and helpful to apply the same model on a different dataset.
  • We performed a systemati literature review on the effect of the menstrual cycle on insulin sensitivity among menstruating women. Since the data is scarce, we opted to build up the story line of the publication with an assessment of different metrics of glycemic control and evalutes if there are sex/gender specific differences. We are currently evaluating if we can use other clinical datasets from the Jaeb repository to pool the data.
