The University of California, Santa Barbara is collaborating with Tidepool to develop advanced machine learning techniques that leverage data to improve closed-loop diabetes management. Our primary focus is to design deep neural networks which can accurately forecast glucose levels over extended periods. In addition, we aim to develop reinforcement learning algorithms to for personalized insulin management.
